We are delighted that works are now almost complete at St Stephens chapel in West Norwood. HDD have been working alongside DIA Architects on a £1.5 million restoration of this Grade II* Listed Building. HDD were responsible external works including researching, designing, and agreeing a new and fully accessible pathway into the Chapel. This design overcame complicated legal, technical, and heritage constraints. It avoided encroachment in respect of burials, employed no-dig construction within root protection areas, and involved the creation of a very carefully detailed elegant floating walkway and deck to gain access to the south portico.
