Great to visit Llyn Padan and see the completed works at Parc Padarn, Llanberis. The monolith at the south of the new building has been erected and feels right at home. New and existing footways have given a refreshed look and the new slate edging has made these routes bolder and befitting of their location. Restored slate trucks are being brought back to the site and placed for use as seating on re-instated track alignments and signage and interpretation is being finished. Following on from the the works to enhance the layout, visitor-experience, safety and capacity of the car park, the re-configured coach parking is coming into operation soon with a the switch-over planned during the winter months. The external works are being carefully co-ordinated with work being carried out at the National Slate Museum and to the National Grid power line renewal programme. We will never tire of this stunning place with its magnificent views to Yr Wyddfa.
