Area Z Camberwell Old Cemetery

The re-modelling of ground is ongoing at Area Z. These Phase 2 Works include clearance and remediation of poor quality soils and unsuitable materials which are the result of past unauthorised waste disposal.

HLF Application submitted!

For the last 18 months we have been working really hard alongside Lambeth Council to undertake survey work, prepare designs, submit planning applications and listed building consents for £4 million of conservation and restoration works for West Norwood Cemetery. We have been supported by the dedicated Friends of West Norwood Cemetery and the Scheme of Management throughout.

£3.8 m HLF Funding Approved for Sheffield General Cemetery

We are delighted to announce that Sheffield City Council have secured a £3.8 million Heritage Lottery Grant for Sheffield’s General Cemetery. HDD have been working with Sheffield City Council for the last 12 months as Lead Designer to develop the funding bid. The funding will enable much needed conservation and restoration works to the important Grade II* Registered Landscape

Wrexham Cemetery Conservation works officially unveiled

After over 5 years of hard work an extensive scheme of restoration and conservation works at Wrexham Cemetery have been officially unveiled by the mayor of Wrexham . The 1.2 million HLF funded project has included extensive works to both the Registered Landscape, memorials and the twin chapels and cemetery lodge which have been brought back into use after many years of dereliction

Bailey Hill receives HLF Funding

Its official Bailey Hill (the site of Mold’s Castle), has received £963,700 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.  Funding will enable  site wide conservation and repair works to  this important Scheduled Ancient Monument in the heart of Mold Town centre. HDD have been working alongside Flintshire County Council, Mold Town Council and Friends of Bailey Hill..

Camberwell New Cemetery, Southwark

Works at Camberwell New Cemetery to develop new burial areas within Area D of the cemetery are now complete. Set in a woodland glade within the cemetery, the finished scheme includes extensive wildflower seeding and turf, tree planting and wildlife hibernacular.

St Mary’s Flint now complete

Wrexham Cemetery has been awarded the prestigious Ruth Howarth Award from the Wrexham Area Civic Society. The award which isn’t given out every year is given for outstanding contributions to Wrexham’s  environment.
